We have been asked by a few customers for a little help on how to fasten a corset. So with some help from our friend Georgina at fuller figure fuller bust we hereby present the 'Hot Corsets guide to fastening a corset'.

This corset is a size 30. This is a steel boned corset so I measure the smallest part of my waist and deducted 3-4 inches to get my corset size.

Before putting your corset on, loosen the cord.

Next put the corset in position on your torso. Fasten the top busk, then the bottom one.

Then fasten the middle busks. You may need to squeeze the corset together to help the process.

Check that all the busks are fastened as some can pop open when closing the others. Then shimmy the corset into position and make sure that you are happy where it will be sitting on you - not too high, not too low.

Before fastening the cord you will need to make sure that the modesty panel is pulled across as straight as possible.

Next you will need to locate the loops and tighten the corset. You may need to adjust the modesty panel as you go.

Just like you would with a pair of shoes, you will need to pull all of the slack cord from the top and bottom of the corset and continue to tighten it.

Continue to tighten the corset until it becomes too tight and restrictive.

Tie the cord into a neat bow behind you. Make sure it is fastened securely.

Your look is complete! Whether you are off to a Burlesque club, a fancy dress party or just a night on the town to have fun. Don't forget to loosen the corset slightly if you feel dizzy or short of breath - just as others might feel when they see you!
